Information and Communications Technology (ICT) facilitates growth and development in every sphere of human endeavor. As Delta State becomes smarter and more intelligent, it is necessary that more indigenes of the state be empowered for the effective optimization of available resources.

Quanteq Technology Services Limited is providing ad hoc employment opportunities in ICT for unemployed indigenes of Delta State who have completed the National Youths Service Scheme. Selected candidates would be trained on computer basics, network administration, document management and database administration for a period of two weeks. This would be followed by the evaluation of candidates for placement into the available positions.

2012/2013 FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS TENABLE IN NIGERIAN TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS

The Honorable Minister of Education, Prof. (Mrs.) Raqayyatu Ahmed Rufai hereby invites applicants from qualified Nigerian students in Nigerian public tertiary institutions to participate in the 2012/2013 selection interviews for scholarship awards tenable in Nigeria tertiary institutions.

Application forms are available online at http://www.fsb.gov.ng and can be filled and printed by prospective candidates for endorsement by their HOD and Registrars of their institutions.

2. ELIGIBILITY

   I.  Undergraduate, HND & NCE Scholarship:

All applicants should be registered full–time students in their second year or above in recognized Federal and State Universities, Polytechnics, Monotechnics and Colleges of Education. They should also obtain a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.0 on a 5 point scale, or its equivalent in the previous academic year’s examinations.

    II. Postgraduate scholarship:

Applicants must be registered full–time students of recognized Federal and State owned universities and must have a minimum of second class Honors (upper division) in 1st degrees.

3. All qualified candidates who have fully completed the prescribed application forms for the Nigerian Awards scholarship are to attend selection interviews as scheduled in paragraph 4c below.

1. TRANSPORT AND LOGISTICS LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST I (RUHSS 08)
Applicants MUST possess a minimum of University degree or its equivalent in Transport-related fields from recognised institutions. Possession of additional qualification in Geographical Information System (GIS) is also a necessity, plus three (3) years post-qualification experience. Applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to use Spatial Analysis software in carrying out specific tasks.

The Webmaster ensures that the University’s online portal is among its best assets and offers a public “face” to the University on the Internet.

Responsibilities
• Collaborate with departments, units and IT department to determine the Web site’s purpose, functions, requirements and long-term strategy.
• Work with Corporate Affairs and IT departments to ensure optimal page loads, uptime and integration with business functions as appropriate.
• Establish policies and procedures around content management.
• Research emerging technologies and services that may enhance the Web experience and make recommendations to management.
• Create state-of-the-art user interfaces for web and windows applications.

Qualifications/Requirements
Post-secondary education in Web design, with experience in content management.
• Programming experience.
• Excellent, working and demonstrable knowledge of the following is required:
• Photoshop, CorelDraw, Macromedia Flash and Action Script, Dreamweaver, fireworks, Joomla, MySQL, PHP, HTML/DHTML/CSS/Javascript and Social media-related technologies.
• Demonstrate leadership in project management.
• Relevant world class certifications in Web Management are needed.
